Application and selection guidance

Conveyor pulleys are specified by their position and duty, including drive, tail and bend arrangements. For a replacement, record the pulley location and provide photographs showing the belt path, bearings and drive connection. The drum dimensions and shaft interfaces need to be considered together rather than treating the pulley as an isolated part.

What to confirm before ordering

Supply the pulley diameter, face length, shaft drawing and available belt tension or drive torque information. Explain whether a plain or lagged surface is required and describe the material-handling environment. Confirm which items belong in the quotation, such as the pulley alone or a pulley with bearings and associated components, to make comparisons between supply options meaningful.
