Application and selection guidance

An electric motor inquiry should relate to the conveyor duty and the drive equipment it will connect to. For an existing installation, a clear nameplate photograph and pictures of the mounting and shaft are useful starting points. State whether the request is for a direct replacement or a motor to be reviewed as part of a new drive arrangement.

What to confirm before ordering

Confirm the required power, operating speed, electrical supply and mechanical interfaces. Describe the starting and operating conditions and identify the gearbox or coupling, where applicable. The selected model and its documentation should be checked against the project requirements before ordering. Include the installation drawing when the available space or mounting arrangement needs to remain unchanged.
